  1. What Is a Jet Mill?

 

A jet mill, also known as an air jet mill or fluidized bed jet mill, is a high-precision grinding system that uses high-speed compressed air to achieve ultra-fine powder pulverization.
Unlike traditional mechanical impact mills, the jet mill relies on particle-to-particle collision to achieve size reduction, ensuring no metal contamination and maintaining the purity of even the most sensitive materials.

 

  1. Principe de fonctionnement

 

The YDBK Series Jet Mill adopts a fluidized bed structure integrated with a built-in air classification system.

Compressed air or nitrogen is introduced through multiple special nozzles at supersonic speed, forming a high-energy airflow inside the grinding chamber.

The raw material is fluidized by the airflow and continuously collides with other particles, gradually being reduced to micron-level fineness.

The internal classifier wheel automatically separates fine powder from coarser particles — fine powder is discharged through the outlet, while larger particles return to the grinding zone for further milling.
